Someone struggling with depression has realized that they can’t give up and must fight for themselves. They must overcome, let go of the past, and start over despite having lost hope in themselves and society. Therefore they must break away from who they once were to move on, even if it leaves them still broken on the inside they realize they have to move forward even if it means letting go.

A person tortured by guilt, trauma, addictions, mental illness and has hope that the significant other will be their safe haven wants that person to give reason to go on everyday because that person is the only thing left in their life. Ultimately there wasn't anyone there.
