Bright Eyes: Weather Reports Meaning
Weather Reports Lyrics
and then i hit the cities, spent all my money, i just left my whole life in a taxi cab.
cause it's just a memory, i can't love completely, when you're really...

This is my interpretation and it's influenced by circumstance, emotions, and what I'm trying to take out of it personally. This song is very personal and rich of symbolics. So the individual of this song is in a relationship or actually left it, didn't cut it off just left it, in the beginning of the song it repeats the verb left. However, later in the lyrics "Cause it's just a memory, I can't love completely, when you're really with me, I'm indifferent.", the individual is trying to move on with new people with a better love, but can't because time makes it still seem like memories are the now. The main person probably relates to the release of a storm. Both them and their love keeps trying to escape the situation because of their mutual love is never going to be same, but they yearn for that again. The storm is a release, of what they are holding on to, whether it's feelings or memories or just the love itself, they want closure they don't want to carry that burden of not having closure. The snow moved to a different state, which was different than they expected just like how the relationship ended up, but also it means they will always be haunted by it.
