David Bowie: 1984 Meaning

1984 Lyrics

Someday they won't let you, so now you must agree
The times they are a-telling, and the changing isn't free
You've read it in the tea leaves, and the tracks are on TV
Beware the savage jaw
Of 1984

They'll split your pretty cranium, and...

One of BOWIE's {R.I.P} prophetic songs that was inspired by ORWELL's nineteen eighty four book. He was warning us about the dangers to come that dumbed down our children school education with a new way of thinking as a society to create a new dysfunctional culture for ''The Nutcrackers'' to split our skulls and fill our brains with hot air and horse manure sort of speaking, while the burning bushes fires were on the rise that tighten the ''savage jaw'' to influence the war machine that came to pass and blew the smoke in our eyes, not to see the truth of what came and may still be coming, so just beware of the changes that are not always free that we lost by treason in '65.
