Hey Mama Lyrics
Yes I'll be your baby
Yes I'll be whatever that you tell me when you're ready
Yes I'll be your girl, forever your lady
You ain't ever gotta worry, I'm down for you baby
Best believe that, when you need that

The song is in response to an old black chain gang song of the south, "Rosie". In "Rosie" the man who is a convict, dreams of the day he will be free and get to marry the woman he loves. Praying she will still be there when that time comes, because "when she walks she reels and rocks behind" (she's attractive and men pay attention when she walks by). "Hey Mama" is the the woman, presumably "Rosie", answering the call back. The 70-plus year time span between songs is the woman saying no matter what, she will always be there for him. She goes on to profess her love in various ways and the lengths to which she will go for him.

I think this song is about the submissive nature of a woman. I was quite surprised to hear those words while everyone around especially in America is so insane about emancipation. I take care of my man the way a woman can. He takes care of me they way he can. I think it's beautiful and harmonious. Yet feminazi will anyway attack

This song is about a woman pretending to be in control of her man, while she is actually the one taking care of him. She makes him believe that he is the alpha male, because that is what society wants men to be. She is subtily mocking him, because he can't even cook for himself, depanding on his 'Mama'. By urging him to call her this in a sexual way, she is basically calling him a 'motherfucker'.

This song is about a woman who would do anything for her man at his beck and call.
