I Need a Doctor Lyrics

Skylar Grey: (Chorus)
I'm about to lose my mind,
You've been gone for so long,
I'm running out of time.
I need a doctor,
Call me a doctor,
I need a doctor, doctor
To bring me back to life

I told the world, one day i...

All dr. Dre is saying is that he had been ditched And wants the ones that ditched him to know he won't d depressed anymore And thanks to Marshall he is going out in a bang In the end of his career.

I think that the meaning of the song has something to do with February 18, 2011. That is Dre's Birthday....but also the day that Dale Earnhardt was killed in a high speed car crash. Also in the beginning of the video, Dre CRASHES in a HIGH SPEED CAR CRASH. Dre feels since almost all of his friends have left him or died. He feels that he has died partially too. And in the video when it says years later at the bottom of the screen, then he's "revived". It is when He is "dead" and Eminem must help Dre.("you believed in me when noone else did') because he is the only one who hasnt left him, ("all i see is slim")And at the end Dre is talking about everyone leaving him.....so he is finished with music.

i think all of you have it wrong. dre was in a bad car accident for real. then when he was recovering eminem really needed him saying dre believed in him when nobody else wanted the white kid.. thats just basically saying that the whole song was trying to get dre to come back and shady will help him just like dre helped him get his fame. and eric wright was not his son. just a fellow rapper that used to work with him. :)

ems part is about how dre risked his career for slim cuz he believed he was great, and how dre saved his life by signing him

dres part is about how em came in for an interview and everyone was making fun of him, "walked in yellow jump suit, whole room cracked jokes" but he still signed him and everyone doubted him for it so they left thinking that he didnt know what he was doing and dre mentions how em made it but none of them did "where the fu-k are they now,i dont need them, i dont see none of them all i see is slim..." and he talks about how em has been the only one to help him "f-ck all u fairweather friends all i need is him"

the best i can say about this is:

a trial from slim to pay back dre by making him do new songs as dre had trusted him when everyone were pissing on him.

Doctors save lives and help people in the struggle. I owe my doctor everything. Just like marshall owes Dre.

I think it's about Eminem picking him up from rock bottom as Dre did for Eminem. I think it also highlights the fact that Dre placed all his trust in Eminem for his whole career. The fact that Dre starts walking again I think highlights the fact that he's starting to pick up the pieces of his life after his loss of his daughter. I also think the rappers at the beginning highlight that his best friends have died/Left him and weren't there to help him through his pain except for Eminem. That's why he's having a jibe at the people who turned his back on him when he needed them the most.

The begining of song is about giving faith to dre bc,his disappeared and wondering how he can do this to himself, when he should be out there doing his JOB.
His old school and don't matter who is the BOSS bc,dre is the ONE who lifted him up.
in DRE part states all the fakes and useless people in his life who wanted the fame but, never the work or was not there for him.

I need a doctor is a song telling people how close Eminem and Dr. Dre are. Eminem is telling Dre that he will never give up on him and will always be there for him. Dre lost his son and Eminem is telling him that he will help him through it and enlighten him and how much Dre means to him. Dr. Dre then tells Eminem/ Shady that he is all he needs and all his other rap friends bailed on him when he needed them most: "Went through friends, some of them I put on But they just left, they said they was riding to the death
But where the f-ck are they now
Now that I need them, I don't see none of them
    All I see is Slim
    F-ck all you fairweather friends
    All I need is him"
Dre is telling his former friends that since they walked out he doesn't need them anymore all he needs is Eminem. Every time something bad would happen to them all of his former friends would laugh at them. But now that their fame is rising they start coming around and wanting to become a team again but Dre doesn't want that. He then says that he's going to publish one more CD and then he's leaving rap and "as I leave
And I guarantee they'll scream, Dre don't leave us like that man" meaning they don't want him to walk out of their lives as they did to him.

Its about Dre realizing that all of his past acquaintances with former rappers (such as Eazy-E), were the true uprising and the "sons" of hip hop, the ones he helped bring up to the world. After many of these rappers have died, he realized that he has lost apart of himself, like he would losing a son, and is starting to doubt the rap game and himself in it. Eminem states that Dre never doubted him, so Eminem is there for Dre when he needs it. Em is helping Dre realize his rap legacy, and is pushing him to finish his album and finish what he initially started in the past. In return, Em wants Dre to keep continuing his mentoring for Em as he will be the next one to make his mark in hip hop legacy and It's eminem tellin dr dre how he believed in him when nobody else did and how he got him to where he is now. Dre gave up on rap and himself after his son died and practically everyone left him (except for slim). Shady is sayin he will do whatever he can for dre and will always be there for him. Dre is sayin screw you guys who left me and he's sayin he's makin 1 more cd and he is done.

i think this song has a lot of meanings it's talkink about strong friendship between him and em; because was the only one who didn't give up on dre like his managers who used dre in the past and now they left him because he got older and he couldn't make new albums like before. now em is bringing the rap of dre to life as a pay back for his mentor dre who had told him every thing he knows.

It's about dr dre being away from rap for so long he doesn't think he has it anymore and em is telling him how he used to go to dre not the other way around. And when dre lost his 20 year old son dre jr he was destroyed inside and since he was in the lime light anymore everyone left his side except for slim! That's what this song is about!
