It may really be a song about ratings and reception of the band, a hint there can be the "you can spell right" line, but from a more personal perspective, this song.. it just hits hard with a right melody and is very moody to say the least.
Despite its original purpose, I'd say - for some people we will always be just 2 out of 7. -
When I first heard the song I thought it had something to do with a bad relationship.. but to me it seems to be referring to Tobias/Edguy being so underrated, and Tobias being badmouthed by the listeners. The 2 out of 7 and 3 out of 10 seem to be references to poor ratings. The end of the song made me crack up, that last line... Think about it. I could be totally off here, but thats just my take.
