King's Crossing Lyrics

The King's crossing was the main attraction
Dominoes falling in a chain reaction
The scraping subject ruled by fear told me
Whiskey works better than beer
The judge is on vinyl, decisions are final
And nobody gets a reprieve
And every...

Kings Crossing is Elliott warning the audience of the huge endeavor you take part in when you delve your life into hardcore drugs like heroin. In the song, he's inevitably overwhelmed by his addiction, he can no longer find any volume or meaning to life: "I'm going on a date, with a rich white lady - ain't life great." It seems that he's begging for some reason to live, because this addiction has taken over his life and filled him with this feeling of emptiness. This questioning ultimately leads to the rock-bottom, final plea, begging to be proven wrong: Give me one good reason not to do it.

I think its like a suicide note, but also does go into his drug addiction, but a lot of his songs do.

I think this is one of his best songs.
    And I love him.

I think it is about drug addiction also. I am going on a date with a rich white lady. I am thinking more aling the lines of a cocaine addiction

It's about his heroin addiction. Read into all of the lyrics, like, Skinny Santer is the person who sells him the drugs, and the "inject my ex-wife" is referring to the heroin. Taking his insides out is talking about writing about his feelings, just to publish a song to live.

    It makes me cry.
