If I Knew is about a girl named Lauren Freeman (my cousin in fact) who was killed by Ryan Matthew Bowman (affiliated with Girls Gone Wild) on November the 11th of 2010 on Sunset Blvd in California. She was a meer 21 years old. An aspiring young fashion designer with tons of promise. This song mourns her death and celebrates her life. Thanks to Every Avenue for dedicating this song to her.

Also, the band Breathe Carolina has also written a song about her called "Lauren's Song" I encourage everyone to listen to it!!!!
