Florence + the Machine: Hunger Meaning
Song Released: 2018
Hunger Lyrics
-
I think this song might be about a young girl who is feeling like there is something missing in her life but it isn’t love or company. “At 17 I started to starve myself, I thought that love was a kind of emptiness. But at least I understand the hunger I felt, and I didn’t have to call it lonleyness.” I think the chorus might have something to do with wanting to be seen as attractive as in “you make of fool of death with your beauty” or “Come on and use your body, baby”. It’s about knowing something is missing and not being shoe to fix it. Love is the “easy” solution.
