Killing Loneliness Lyrics

Memories, sharp as daggers
Pierce into the flesh of today
Suicide of love took away all that matters
And buried the remains in an unmarked grave in your heart

With the venomous kiss you gave me
I'm killing loneliness (Killing...

You are all wrong. It's about an old friend of his that was addicted to drugs. The drugs killed his lonliness because he obviously couldn't feel anything when he took them. "The venomous kiss you gave me," that's the drug dealers gave him the venomous kiss. He smoked the drugs so it's like kissing them and the drug was the venomous kiss, the drugs turned his soul into a tomb see.

On a radio program called Loveline, I heard Villie Valo saying that the song was inspired by Brandon Novak, who blamed his heroin addiction on a need to "kill the loneliness"
    that's what I've heard.

Brandon Novak, that's what it's about, Ville said it on an interview once and it's also said on Wikipedia too. It makes since too, because heroin is used to kill the loneliness.

It is about Bradon Novak, it clearly states on his wikipedia info "HIM lead singer Ville Valo has stated that the song "Killing Loneliness" was inspired by Novak's claim that his heroin addiction was caused by a need to "kill the loneliness."" So their it's all settled! By the way must input I love the song and think Ville Valo is so hot!

Okay, so every one seems to agree that this is about his freinds heroine addiction....but FOR ME, this isn't what I got from it. It's very personal to me in the sence of 'killing loneliness'. In fact this song was on when I began to kill it. basically, it is what it says, that he's been broken by love so many times and now he finds someone who, though he doesn't love, is helping him to kill loneliness because of the pain of being alone. I take it as "with the venomous kiss you gave me" that maybe like in my situation, in the end he doesn't want to be with her but cannot get out for the simple fact of loneliness overtaking him.

It's really simple. He's with a girl who he's in a twisted love with but is only staying together because they don't wanna be alone.

Novak was abusing drugs and thought that was the best way ti kill lonliness. Ville is hot. So is bam. So is novak.

The real meaning of this song is about a friend who over came a heroin addiction. I saw HIM two nights ago in STL. and the played this song and that is what he said this song is about.

I heard from some interview with ville that this song was about his friend who had troubles with drugs which definitely makes sense when you listen to the song. I think it is cleverly disguised as a love song ... as most other HIM songs are!

I heard this from Ville him self at the manchester apolo This song isn't about vampires but the hearts of men and how their way of evil and control of women and this is a way of saying sorry for all the wrong things that they have done and how selfish they can be.

It's very clever and I really like it for what it means.

Looks like he's referencing to heroin.
References have been used extensively in songs from other bands (venomous kiss, nailed, disappearing in the lie, kiss, warmth, arms) but I admit it is subtle.

This song is about his world being broken down, if I may put it in such a simple phrase. He lost touch with feelings of love and all that he had to latch on was his memories. She restored the emptiness he resided in. In other words, he was lost and faithless and she gave him confidence and hope again. She killed his lonliness and awakened his feelings of love once more.
