Flashlight is about going through life & trying to figure out how you are going to figure everything out, because you're never gonna figure everything out. It's about trying to find your path & trying to avoid ending up on the wrong path in all the tiniest ways, not just big life changing things. This song is about finding your path without loosing your way & trying to write your story without loosing what it is that is important to you.

You got a flashlight that nobody else can see, it's only you, but you know that there's somebody looking out for you, somebody guiding you: that person is your "flashlight".
