Iron Maiden: Power Slave Meaning
-
i think it's about a man who was worshipped as a god believing he was one and as he dies he realizes the eternal life he thought he had was an illusion.
-
It's about conforming to being "enslaved" by power through politics, greed, technology (presently social media, needing the latest phone / tv etc) -- and the singer asking himself WHY he "has to" be a "power slave" (ie is he expected to be like everybody else and be unable to live without protests / movements, technology updates, etc -- or if he can be a free-thinker and live how he wants to without being subjected to criticism or ridicule by the "followers"?)
