   An amazing song. Though on the service it seems a really depressing song you have to realize that its also talking about forgiveness. It also shows a love that even though they broke up he/she still cares for the other person. I hope people give this song a second look when they say it's depressing. It's not that slow of a song and the meaning goes deeper than a breakup. Let's just say its not your typical depressing breakup song. Just a thought though.

   I was happy and thought that we could conquer our challenges but now I know it is impossible. You were the strong one and leading in this relationship but I was weak and made myself vulnerable and allowed you to embarrass me as I chose to let you treat me with less kindness and consideration than I deserve. From past experiences I knew that I should be cautious in love and I was. But here I am realising I was holding on to an illusion built on shared words, promises and mutual love. I was careless and gave too much of myself where you were strong and can now move on so effortlessly. I was happy and now my heart is broken. No regrets...just experiencing the situation and taking responsibility for where I have gone wrong.

   (This is just my idea, if you think its wrong thats ok, this is just how i see the song)
   I think the other people on here are correct. This isn't your average depressing breakup song. The song shows how the other person still cares after they broke up. This shows that he wasn't being treated correctly and the other person did something to him that might have caused the breakup. He believed that it would be impossible for that to happen because he might have loved the other person to much. He talks about it being an illusion. Maybe he was talking about the illusion that his other, was perfect for him. But now he sees that they have done something wrong. But yet he is forgiving but feels defeated.

   Not your average break up song. Take a closer look the song shows love on the part of the writer. Not a depressing song. The lyrics are easy and show that though the writer was obviously not being treated right the writer had forgiveness. Almost like Taylor Swift, her songs are break up songs but you don't call her songs depressing.
