   This song is most definitely about a girl that he has had a whirlwind love with in the past (and present) and he has never forgotten. This girl has been such a roller coaster his whole life, and the animals in video represent “the chase” other guys fighting for her (and other guys dating her).
   
   It’s a real life punish. He will always love her, she will probably always love him, but the love will probably never work in reality. They can have that magic for a short time but it all crashes down again and the circle repeats.
   
   Probably the most important thing about these lyrics is the missing “while”. Eg. Ooooo been wishing for you, “while” trying to do what lovers do. In other words, he’s craving and wishing to be with her - while trying to get on with his life in other relationships.
   
   Not a healthy way to live emotionally, and definitely wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
