   In this song, John is trying to reffer to sexual acts commited by the consentual couple. Although love making is involved in this equation the manner in which it is peformed is "for some.." alittle unconventional. The Intercourse that is being played out is of anal nature. This does not how ever limit this act to the famale, but extends to the male receiver aswell. This thoery of rear coersion towards the male partner is proven by the chorus line "Sometimes love don't feel like it should, You make it hurt so good". Some believe this hypothosis is ill-mannered and rude but in the words of John Melloncamp "Just tryin' to give myself a little bit of fun, yeah".
