I think this is a quite straight forward song about determination, resistance, digging deep within yourself for strength. Muse chose model and activist Lauren Wasser to star in the video where she has to kung fu fight her way out of a heavily guarded building using an impressively modified prosthetic leg. This song is for anyone who, like Wasser, is or wants to feel like a badass. ;)
