Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe

Don't be afraid
What your mind conceives
You should make a stand
Stand up for what you believe
And...

I believe that this is a love song, but not in the traditional sense. The love is that he has for his fellow man, and specifically the individual listener who cares to truly listen and understand his somewhat cryptic message.

The song starts off as a dedication of sorts, to the moment that we have all been in when it seems like all is lost and there is no hope. The last line in this verse reminds the listener to remember that he/she is unique and that this reason alone is enough to fight and live on.

    "Follow through
    Make your dreams come true
    Don't give up the fight
    You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe "

The next verse is almost akin to speech at a political rally, or a mass populist uprising. The music video for this song is basically a parody of Disney "It's a small world" ride. Think of Howard Zinn's "A People's History of the United States" which tells a less censored view of what has really been going on all these years. At the end of the day, most people do not want to fight, but people seem to be constantly compelled for some reason or another.

    Don't be afraid
    What your mind conceives
    You should make a stand
Stand up for what you believe
    And tonight
    We can truly say
    Together we're invincible

Now, what is the struggle and who is "they" that will pull us down? Muse openly refers to conspiracy theories and the New world order, especially in connection with the B&R album. A little research into conspiracy theories will give you an idea of what the writer is referring to. I believe the "chance: we have to "turn things around" as a common people is the fact that there is a mass awakening occurring right now and that with so many people in "the know" now, we may be able to resist our tyrannical controllers.

    During the struggle
    They will pull us down
    But please, please
    Let's use this chance
    To turn things around
    And tonight
    We can truly say
    Together we're invincible

It is widely known that the traditional methods of resistance, that of organizing and having a leader has been self defeating. The only way to beat the system is to go it alone, be your own leader, trust yourself. He's basically saying to the listener, just because I'm asking you to take a stand doesn't mean I want you to think of me as your leader, just like any leader, he can't possibly care about you more than you do. And finally, there is no reason to fear death because the soul lives on.

    Do it on your own
It makes no difference to me
    What you leave behind
    What you choose to be
    And whatever they say
    Your souls unbreakable

I kinda had a weird thought listening to the album, and this song. I'm starting to think the song is about two revolutionaries who are in love. The song is about trying to make your dreams come true with someone you love, perhaps when fighting a New World Order. Matthew even said that it was connected to "A Soldier's Poem." Just a thought.

This song is not just about hope, but unrealistic hope.

Seriously? You guys can't think beyond sappy love songs? Like many of Muse's songs "Invincible" is about the struggle for individual liberty in a world where people willy-nilly give up their rights to oppressive governments and allow powerful interest groups to dictate the information you consume.

The group is outspoken libertarians. You should pay attention. If you want love songs, dig up some old Marvin Gaye or Barry White.

we shouldnt look at the music video or the cd cover... we should just listen to the lyrics and i think its about fighting and standing up for your dream
i also think its another conspiracy song...

This is a love song, plain and simple. Unlike many of Muse's songs, this one has an obvious meaning. "Together we're invincible" is obviously saying that when two people are together, and they truly love each other, nothing can stop it. It's a very sweet song. As far as the meaning behind the video goes, I'm not sure.

    Two possibilities:
One: A song about human kind. The video is a compilation of the human History, including Romans, Egyptians, etcetera, surpassing the 21st century with people fighting together against space invaders. It would be then a Futurist song.
Two: However, the CD cover depicts two people about to kiss and holding hands. So, the real meaning of the song is love. For love will keeps us together. It's a love song. The true love song.
