I think that A simple game of genius its certainly a love song but if you look inside the lyrics also explains the true meaning of "the will of love", if you think about it love is a simple game of genius and depends of how you and your couple moves the correct pieces.
Noel also refers to Cecilia, to a emotional and confused lady that in part he tries to convence of playing with him this game.
