This is Twilight from Edwards point of view (I checked, plus if you know the story its kind of obvious). If you've read midnight sun (unpublished version of twilight from Edwards POV, which you can download for free) you will know that Alice tells him he will love Bella and, though he's come to realize it himself by then, he tries to refuse loving her.

My interpretation, considering it's what i'm going through right now.. is an inside fight between the herself, the devil,. "You're pushing and pulling me down, to you.. but I don't know what I want." "You got it, you got it, soe kind of magic, hypnotic hypnotic, you're leaving me breathless. I hate this, I hate this. You're not the one I believe in. With God as my witness." The devil tempts, with beautiful and amazing things that you THINK are amazing. But, he's really just pulling you down. At the end, when she said "Now I know what I want".. I take it as she's gotten right with God.
