    Everyone is right about that. And yes, it was his cat, he loved her very, very much!

    This song is for delilah,
    freddie's cat .
    he had about 7 cats but love delilah the most.
    she was adorable..
    and liked to sleep in luandry basket
    :-)...

    The song is a tribute to Freddy Mercury's cat. He was on limited time, dieing of Aids when they were recording that CD. He probably felt meloncholy.

    It's obvious Freddie was a cat lover. No mystery in this melody, just a tribute to a great pet, perhaps his own.
