   This song is a tribute to Kurt Cobain, a man Anthony Kiedis truly admired but that love never proved to be reciprocal. Nirvana opened for RHCP in the early nineties and the first time he saw Kurt, he was in a torn dress backstage, strung out on heroin.

   He was called in the middle of the night by the band manager and close friend to inform him of Cobain's death. He denied it and refused to beleive it.
   
   "I'm feeling sick now

   When it really started to hit him, he was throughly upset and felt lost. The world lost a man he really admired and wished he was closer to.

   Like I said the first time AK saw Kurt Cobain, he was backstage in a torn dress strung out on heroin, right after opening when they toured together.

   He always wanted to be closer to Kurt Cobain.
   Requite my love- He wanted Kurt to love him like he did.

   Talking about his dead body found on the floor. The heroin highs were low points in life, but they were the way and hard to stray from. Now Kurt knows of AK's love for him.

   AK continuing to admire Kurt Cobain.

   He found Kurt Cobain inspirational. The ones you love you hurt the most...but this time it worked the other way around.

   This song is about how much Anthony loved Kurt Cobain, about how he first met him, and it's basically an all out tribute to Cobain. A wonderful song, very deep.
