Two Birds Lyrics

Two birds on a wire
One tries to fly away
And the other watches him close from that wire
He says he wants to as well
But he is a liar
I'll believe it all
There's nothing I won't understand
I'll believe it all
I won't let go of your...

My interpretation of this song is that it's about someone with terminal illness but not revealing that to their loved ones. They're the "liar". That's why they'll never let go of that wire.
"One more, or one less, nobody's worried"
Nobody's worried because they don't know about the illness.
That's why it states that one is tired.

right from the start it's obvious that this whole song is a metaphor. the song isn't really about two birds.

    I'll believe it all
    There's nothing I won't understand

    I'll believe it all
I won't let go of your hand

these lines both start with 'ill believe it all' but end differently, one placing importance on moving forwards (there's nothing i wont understand) and one placing importance on staying together (i won't let go of your hand). this could symbolize two characters, that, while important to each other, are parallels of a sort.

    Two birds on a wire
One says c'mon and the other says "I'm tired"

    again, opposites and parallels.

    I'll believe it all
    There's nothing I won't understand

    I'll believe it all
I won't let go of your hand

repetition of this line is used, possibly to put more emphasis on their relationship.

Say that they're always gonna stay together
But one's never going to let go of that wire

ne character moving forwards, one staying behind. straying apart.

    He says that he will
    But he's just a liar

this specific "liar" line is repeated. it gives a bit of a shock factor in my opinion. the rest of the song is subtle in its metaphors, but the plain repetition of 'he is a liar' is what gives this song the slightly sad/ominous tone that it has.

One tries to fly away and the other
Watches him close from that wire

this line implies that the one who stays still cares about the one who goes.

uhhh in conclusion i did this during math class because im bored so lmk if yall agree ig
