    In the show's (Nashville) context, Gunner is trying to tell Scarlet that God gave her a gift for writing lyrics, singing and playing different instruments and it's not her gift to just throw away and 'quit music'. If God gave you a gift, He gave it to you for a reason and you shouldn't stop using it.
