I think this is about mac and cheese eaten by the boy and her in December. Then it ended because the mac and chees didn't taste so good. December, you've always been a problem child. This suggests the main idea: the one holding/eating he mac and cheese is the problem child.

To me, December is about a love that went wrong, (December, you've always been a problem child) a boy that she misses (I remember, when you used to be mind). The relationship obviously started in December, or that month was it's best.
So beautiful and cleverly composed. It captuees a feeling so well. Just as Sara always does!
