Saxon: Princess Of The Night Meaning
Princess Of The Night Lyrics
Twenty years ago
Used to bring the mail to me
Through the ice and snow
I've sat alone and watched her
Steaming through the night
Ninety tons of thunder
Lighting up the sky
She was a princess of the night
I...

Jimi Hendrix said: "Metal" is like massive metal is coming over you...
Biff is verry close to this quote. When you hear this song, it's like there's a train coming across. When you hear this song, you know the meaning of Hendrixx. The starting riff is like an old steam-train, and in the ending it's like he's steaming over you (symolic). Saxon is one of the pioneers in NWOBHM (new wave of british heavy metal) coming up in 1980 in Britain and the band has more sounds like metal is coming over you ass Hendrixx said once. -
This song was written by Saxon. It's a song about trains of caurse, but I don't know if it is about a particular train or trains in general. When I first lisened to the song I thought it was another love song, but when I realized what it said (...Steaming through the night...Ninety tons of thunder...) I was kinda surprized! I mean, who could feel this way about trains?
