Secondhand Serenade: Your Call Meaning

Your Call Lyrics

Waiting for your Call I'm sick, Call I'm angry, Call I'm desperate for your voice. Listening to the song we used to sing in the car do you remember, Butterfly? Early summer it's playing on repeat, just like when we would meet. Like when we would...

For me, this song is about a guy whom the girl he loves lost all her memories with him. He's missing the old times when the girl still remembers him.

"I was born to tell you I love you,
And I am torn to do what I have to,
    To make you mine
    Stay with me tonight"
He's trying his best for her to remember him. Because he loves her so much. For him, he was born to love this girl.

"And I'm tired of being all alone,
    And this solitary moment
Makes me want to come back home"
He's sad because it seems that it's been a long time since the girl lost her memories but still she can't remember anything about him. There comes a point that he's thinking of giving up and letting her go.

I think it's about a couple who is desperate;y in love. But, he has to leave for some reason and he's dreading telling her but, he'd rather tell her and spend his last night with her rather than not tell her and just leave.
