Eye of the Tiger Lyrics

Risin' up
back on the streets
did my time took my chances
went the distance
now I'm back on my feet
just a man
and his will to survive
So many times
it happens too fast
you change your passion for glory
don't lose your grip

There are 3 situations in the song that the person experienced in life to follow their dreams as if you trade your passion for glory you can easily be set back.i think it also gives wisdom to all people of any situation or life goal not just refered to a boxing life or physical fighting it can refer to also dealing with difficult situations that sets back your goal or dreams. The end result when you accomplish your dream is to not stop evan though you obtained the glory/fame/fortune because the dream must survive.eye of the tiger is what a person must have to succeed to continue their dreams.A rival would challenge your dream. So strength ,confidence, power is what the tiger represents.

It's basically speaking out of everybody's point of view, saying don't give up you worked to hard to get this far and you ether gave up or got obsessed with fame. It's not about the heart anymore, but it's also saying I'm a fighter. I fought my whole life, I've seen people succeed then give it up for glory.

Where it says "THEY CHANGE THEIR PASSION FOR GLORY", it's saying unlike them I'm going to the top and I'm keeping my in it that could also have its comparison in war. It's moral it's keeping your heart in it. Don't leave your love for it.

Okay, the Eye of the Tiger was created when the people who made the Rocky movies wanted a theme song of sorts for "Rocky III." When they asked Queen for the rights to Another One Bites the Dust, Queen rejected their request. So the people asked Survivors to make a song for Rocky III. The song is based off the events in Rocky III.

In the movie, Rocky is a champ boxer and is very famous after the second movie's ending. The beginning starts off with a montage of Rocky beating everybody who challenges him for the title. He now lives in a mansion and his wife and kids are living in luxury. But when a boxer challenges Rocky to a fight, Rocky takes it smooth and instead of training really hard, he does pictures and soaks in the fame in his public training center. This is similar to the verse "so many times, it happens to fast, you change your passions - his urge and commitment to beating Apollo Creed in the first two movies - for glory - the want for public attention and fame.

At the match, the opponent taunts Rocky and gets in a fight before the match. Rocky's trainer, Mickey, suffers from a heart attack and dies, leaving Rocky devastated, for he had known him forever. With Rocky's lack of training and commitment to beat the boxer, and the bonus that he was distracted with Mickey's heart attack, Rocky loses and gets knocked out in the second round.

He had lost, according to his former rival, Apollo Creed, the "Eye of the Tiger," his urge and commitment to his training in the last two movies. He had chosen fame over the Eye. And the song is about how a young man had the urge to win, and when he did, lost it and took popularity and fame.

Eye of the tiger is an idiom which means picking your pieces of your life and moving ahead, to face all odds to obtain your aim without losing focus.

It means what everyone else has been saying. Don't give up your dreams and determination for glory and recognition. Also, don't just reach your goals, stalk them!

I think eye of the tiger meansthat you should get back up when life knocks you down. Also that if you want to sucsede in something, you have to fight for it.Lastly, the only person who will get to where they wannabe,is a persn who fights till the end.NEVER BACK DOWN

It means you are the tiger and you are stalking(focused) your prey (goal) and therefore must have the eye of the tiger.

no offence but thats not what its about this song was requested to be written for the movie eye of the tiger. It takes this meaning you find to fit the story line where they are fighting in a cociane filled shack

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
