this song is about a guy being cheated on. he starts talking about how he would rather kill himself then lose her so he is willing to pretend he dosnt know what she is doing as long as she won't bring it up because she is the only one he has ever fallen in love with. he knows she doesn't really care about him though.

I think this song is more about a guy who loves this girl who led him on. She probly wasnt dating him but she made it seem like she wanted to and then went with another guy. Think about it "this all was only wishful thinking" he's realizing that he really read into it more then he should have but no matter what he's still hooked on her which is where "you've got your gun to my head" comes from. Its also killing him to see her with the jerks she's with and knows she deserves better then how this guy treats her. He wants the best for her even though she treated him horrible

This is truly my favorite song. Hands down. I heard a sketchy mix of it years ago, then saw the video, and everything in it blends perfectly and beautifully, from the jumpy leading runs and solos, to the following bass, to the excellently exchange and harmonized vocals. Adam lazzara's voice commands attention, while John nolans voice rips into the song. The lyrics are sincere, true, and original, my favorite line being "the only thing that I regret, is that I never let you hold me back." good god that one close to home for me than just about nething.
