This song is so clear to me as I was in a situation that was similar and this song was my 'go to' song when I needed to know that I wasn't the only person in the world who went through this.
It's about a guy who's in love with a girl who is with someone else and it seems almost obligated (by marriage? Or a history) but she loves this guy who wrote this song about her. And he can only be with her when the guy she's always with is gone. It's very sweet. I love it.
