   Let me start off by saying I love this song because it tells of the period between adolescence and adulthood. It shows how we try to hold on to the memories of the teenage years, while trying to be grown-up, even though it's not something we really truly don't want to face the responsibility, but like the idea of being an adult.

   Yup, it's about living in the moment of our teenage years. These years are meant to be the best of your life; sitting on rooftops on a summer night, pool hopping with your friends, watching fireworks, trying to figure everything out. It's a time of having a blast and living life to the fullest, making mistakes and learning from them. It's hard to let go of being a kid, knowing that you're on the verge of becoming an adult. The only thing you have to take with you are all of the good memories. So make some memories before its over. This song makes me almost sad. Thinking about growing up is scary.

   I agree with the first person
   This song is about how your teenage and adolescent life is very precious, and you should cherish every moment of it
   "Being grown up isn't half as fun as growing up
   These are the best days of our lives"
   As well, it talks about how as you progress in life, you should follow your insticnt and heart, and do what you want to do to be happy in life
   "THe only thing that matters, is just following your heart
   And eventually you'll finally get it right"

   This song's pretty simple. It's about when you're on the verge of young adulthood and chilling out in the summer and hanging with your friends and the feeling that you belong somewhere coupled with the knowledge that this isn't going to last, because you're going to soon be done with it all. It's like childhood and adolescence is a period of just kinda lying in the grass watching the clouds but soon you'll have to get up and be and adult and leave it all behind. That's sorta the vibe of this song.
