The Hitchhiker is a song that delves into the universe of "Riders on Storm", where, in my opinion, the "killer on the road" is death itself, masked as an hitchhiker, because it is always walking alongside you and both passengers are headeing to the same final destination, death. The whole eerie atmosphere surrounding the song, amplifies the dark message behind it.
