Change Your Mind Lyrics

Racey days
Help me through the hopeless haze
But my oh my
Tragic eyes
I can't even recognise myself behind
So if the answer is no
Can I change your mind

Out again, a siren screams at half past ten
And you won't let go
While I ignore,...

After my break up, this song had a lot of meaning to me and I interpreted it in my own way. I think it's about a guy, and in this case Brandon, liking a girl who he used to date. They eventually broke up, and he wants her back and this song it kind of reflecting over everything. "Racey days, help me through the hopeless haze, but my, oh my!" means he just doesn't know what to do and is probably very depressed. "Tragic eyes, that I can't even recognize myself behind." might mean that he's never thought this would happen to him. "So if the answer is no, can I change your mind?" is obvious, he wants her back but she doesn't feel it. "While I ignore that we both felt like this before, it starts to show." proves my point of them once dating. "Why aren't you shaking? Step back in time. Graciously taking, oh you're too kind." might mean that he's not sure why she's not being affected by the break up and wondering if she's feeling the same. That's my own, personal interpretation. This song really helped me through my own break up =)

I think it's deeper then just Flowers liking some girl. I get the feeling that he thinks things aren't right with the world. In the beginning it says "Racey days, help me through the hopeless haze, but my oh my, tragic eyes I can't even recognise myself behind" I think that means that he may be feeling a bit depressed. "Out again, a siren screams at half past ten, and you won't let go. While I ignore, that we both felt like this, before it starts to show." He's thinking deeper thoughts than her, and is wondering if he should be with her if she's not concered around her. Like they used to be the same and feel the same way, he's seeing things differently now. "Why aren't you shaking? Step back in time, graciously taking, oh your too kind." He's saying "Why aren't you affected by this like I am? I took advantage of the simple times that used to be." The song is about how he's asking her if she sees the world in a different way then before, and if not, he would show her. Just my interpretation anyway :)

I think the song is about the singer liking a girl, but she doesn't like him back and he's trying to figure out why, and what he has to do, to get her to like him,, hence "and if the answer is no, can i change your mind."

Change your mind could be taken as part of the murder series or a sequel to somebody told me because in somebody told me he tries to get the girl. Maybe she thought about it and she told him no this is the guy trying to get a yes out of this girl. That this guy finds something really interesting about this girl that gets him a little obsessive to get her to change her mind.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
