   Well..The other day I was reading about the meaning of this song...And what I read is that bert wrote this song because his chihuahua dog died...And he loved him very much...So its not about any girl...The point is that its a very very very good song...

   Bert wrote this song for his dog who died... I guess he was way close to his dog because he say's "I'll be just fine; pretending I'm not...I'm far from lonely and it's all that I've got." he's saying that he now feel's lonely.. duh.. "asleep I still see you lying next 2 me.." this line make's ppl think that he's talking about a girl but he's not... He's still talking about his dog...

   I think this song is mostly about being mislead that in a way made him make a wrong decision.
   
   nd now he is trying to hide how he feels pretending he is ok when really he is not. so now his loneliness is all he has left because he has no one to turn to.

    'So deep that it didn't even bleed' is about mental hurt rather than physical hurt. More often that not when someone says something or does something (not injuring), it will hurt more than when someone kicks you.
