Hold your head up high
You're never wrong
Somewhere in the right you belong
You would rather fight than walk away
What a lonely way to breathe the air
What an unlovely way to say you care
Now we're too far gone for me to save
And I never...

This song touched my heart, as I'm going through a similar thing right now.

Its about the man she's with not truly being open to her.. Being open to being hurt. So whilst he tells her that he loves her, he won't back down when there's conflict... He won't make himself vulnerable.

Hence this pushes her away - "another black day".

She has to leave him, because he won't let her in. She's now been hurt too much, and knows the only way for both of them to be happy.. For "beauty" is for the relationship to end.

Very sad. But a very poignant and touching song.

I think it's about a relationship based on lies etc.. And he broke her heart and she had obviously cried anc cried and can't think of any other reasons to cry. "you pushed me away, another black day, part of the reasons to cry, look what you'ved missed living like this, NOBODY WINS"
