    I think you are right, except that I'm pretty sure it's not about killing her. Third Eye Blind sings a lot about "damage" in relationships but I'm pretty sure it just means hurting each other.

    To me, this song is about how the narrator fell in love with a famous actress/singer and how all the fame of being with this person is going to his head and he starts forgetting who he used to be "who am I, we both don't know". At the end, it sounds like the narrator sees his life coming apart, and hurts/kills? his girlfriend "See my life come undone, watch you go and let the damage run, I'd change this song now if I could, in the slickness of your blood"
