10 Days Late Lyrics
And feel you come for me
Care free she’s got something big to tell me
At the ocean
Talk back at the ocean
There’s no simple way
To let you know
Funny how she always cried out daddy
I got a big surprise she said

The song is about a guy whose girlfriend has "got something big to tell me". The big news is that his girlfriend is 10 days late. In other words, she is 10 days late to get her period and therefore probably pregnant. The line "Funny how she always cried out daddy" points out the irony how she always cried out daddy when the made love and now he IS a daddy. Another powerful line goes "Your eyes look to me for what to do, I can't lie, I don't know". His girlfriend looks to him to decide to do, but he is just as clueless as she.
This song is about an unmarried couple that find out the girl is late on her pregnancy. Also, in the song, if you listen, it sounds like angels are telling the father "baby daddy keep your boo," then he says he doesn't know what to do talking about whether or not to keep the baby.
