La Grange Lyrics

Rumour sprendin' a-'round in that Texas town
'bout that shack outside La Grange
and you know what I'm talkin' about.
Just let me know if you wanna go
to that home out on the range.
They gotta lotta nice girls.

Have mercy.

A haw, haw,...

Yes that's right. But recently Billy Gibbons said that their song came out before the "Chicken Ranch" was widely exposed by Houston reporter Marvin Zindler.

This song is about "The Chicken Ranch" which was turned into a movie and play called "the Best Little Whorehouse in Texas!

Pretty simple, actually. It's about a house of ill repute (aka, a "cat house") in Texas.

Rumour sprendin' a-'round in that Texas town
'bout that shack outside La Grange
and you know what I'm talkin' about.
Just let me know if you wanna go
to that home out on the range.
    They gotta lotta nice girls.

    Have mercy.

Well, I hear it's fine if you got the time
and the ten to get yourself in.
    A hmm, hmm.
And I hear it's tight most ev'ry night,
but now I might be mistaken.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway
