If These Sheets Were States Lyrics

I’m lost in empty pillow talk again
I’m lost in empty pillow talk again

This bed’s an island made of feather down, and I’m
stuck here alone
With little else but memories of you, on memory foam
Visions of a brighter love, I’d kill for one...

It's about a guy who has a girlfriend/lover that lives far away and misses her a lot, wishing that she was there with him.

This is definitely about a long distance relationship. He is comparing their relationship to his bed. He misses her a lot and can't sleep without her. I think IM LOST IN EMPTY PILLOW TALK AGAIN means that he misses her so much he is imagining conversations with her as his pillow. And he would do anything to brimg them closer but since he can't really roll up the states he has to SETTLE FOR LONG DISTANCE CALL with her

Its about a long distance song. My ex boyfriend showed me this song and he lives on the otherside of the USA. He told me his interpertaton of the song and I agree with it. "if these sheets were the states and you were miles away, id fold them end over end" he would do anything to have the girl he loves there with him.
(Me and him are back together)

I always thought it was about a long distance relationship, but the girl is cheating on him and he's 'settled for long distance calls' because he is in love with her and just wants to make things normal again. I think 'empty pillow talk' means they're having phone sex and there is just no feeling or connection anymore because she's so far away and seeing other men behind his back.

The song is about him laying in bed thinking about the people he loves who are too far away right now, and how he would do anything to be with them at that moment in time.

Its about the difficulties that comes with a long distance relationship, and how sometimes things can be misinterperated or left unsaid and how bad you might miss someone when they are all the way on the other side of the world and you would do anything to be with them.

It's about him alone in his bed thinking of his girlfriend who's all the way on the other side of the USA. If his bed sheets were the States, he would fold them over and over so that she would be pressed up against him.
