Guided by Ulmo, god of all waters ('Lord of water spoke'), Fingon's brother Turgon discovered the hidden valley of Tumladen ('a hidden gate'). After Dagor Bragollach's battle, he brought his people there and founded the city of Gondolin, which would withstand Morgoth longest of all Eldar realms in Middle-Earth.

This song, inspired by J.R.R Tolkien's stories of Middle-earth. The song speaks of the Noldor (the Deep Elves) struggles in Middle-earth after they abandoned the Undying Lands to the west to pursue the dark lord Morgoth, who stole the gems forged by the leader of the Noldor, Feanor. They've forgotten that the true hope for their salvation lies "beyond the coast", in the West, with the Valar, the lords of Arda.
