I tend to believe and agree with #1 musicjenn. Maybe i'm more optimistic and see it from a spiritual perspective. With that said #2 anonymous was well written and I like the interpretation (perspective). Way to provoke thought... Hope thats not how you feel. sounds rough

i think the song represents now bowing to satin and not giving in to the evil's of the world. really a song about fighting the good fight and spiritual warfare.

i think that even when things get tough, there is still a way to beat those battles by not giving in just because it is a challenge. the hard times for me grow me closer to god and the ones i love.

I personally always see a ravaged battlefield and a lone soldier undeterred by the death around him who charges headlong into the enemy lines. Whenever they say light the fuse and burn it up I think dynamite. I think it is about a determined soldier who wants to just KILL (I don't wanna change the world/ I just wanna leave it colder). All is lost again everyone is dead. But I'm not giving in.

I think the singer is talking to the world/society saying he will stand for what he believes in even if it does mean shutting himself away from others and being different. It sounds like he's fed up with people and society

The Song was used for a Bruce Willis movie about robots that are disguised as humans and who have essentially taken over. Willis is trying to shut them all down, even tho most of humanity is dead. That would be the meaning behind the song. See the official Vid if you don't believe me.

To me, this song talks about a person who's tried hard to living with people who pretend to be someone they aren't and when times turn into ashes. AWESOME SONG AND LOVE THE BAND!!!!! -
I see this almost the same as others, but I see it as him talking to someone. He is saying things like "the dark begins to rise, save your breathe it's far from over" and "nows your chance to run for cover" as saying to someone else. "Go, run away from your problems. Hide and give in". And then he is saying "I will not bow..." as in "I will not give in, I will stand and face it well you run away".
The part of "tell me where forever dies. Take the fall and run to heaven" makes me think it could be relationship issues. Issues she would rather leave him and not face, where he wants to stand and face them and work them out. Maybe people are against them being together, their families don't want them together, etc. The lines "I don't want to change the world, I just want to leave it colder" and "I have lost the will to change", could also mean the after effects. He's hurt, and where once he was a sweet guy, he has gotten a little colder to the world. He wanted to be with her, but she gave up so easily, so he lost the will to change for her.
Finally him saying "I am not proud, cold blooded, fake" could be a comparison. Saying "I would have loved you, and stayed with you like you said you would do with me. I didn't lie about my love and commitment like you did" that is how I read it. -
This song it about someone who sounds like they have had a lot a trouble/struggles in his/her life and finally realized he doesn't have to give in to everyone else's ideas about what he/she should do about it.
