Daughtry: Sorry Meaning

Sorry Lyrics

Will you listen to my story
It’ll just be a minute
How can I explain
Whatever happened here never meant to hurt you
How can I cause you so much pain
When I say I’m sorry
Will you believe me
Listen to my story
Say you won’t leave me

Since I'm suicidal I see the song as saying sorry for committing suicide and asking if they believe their story and forgiving them for killing them self.

It's about a guy who has a fight with his girl. The boy wants to tell her his story and ask her for forgivance. He says if I tell you how sorry I am will you forgive me. The guy doesn't really understand what happened but wants his girl to know he never meant to hurt her. He tells that he will always be there. The guy doesn't know how to explain to the girl how much regret and remorse he feels. This fight must have been in stalemate. The girl has closed her door and seems cold around the guy. Every word he comes up with only fuels the flames of her anger and if he remains silent and tries to connect she refuses to listen and blocks him. He says he's changed his ways and asks the girl if she'll accept him for who he is and not for who he was. The guy wants her to believe him; he says he'll give all that own if I could only undo what I did wrong.
