this song is about how she was suffering from anorexia and was depressed and hurt herself, she didn't feel pretty no matter how hard she tried. But then she stood tall and wouldn't let other people take her down with insults and bullying but stood tall with pride and ignored them. I am slightly anorexic myself, and I cant stand my body. Demi helped me through out this and I hope she will help you too.

demi has obviousely written this song for a reason and has got some special meaning behind the song . The meaning i feel when i listen to the song is that she is rising above everything bad that has happend in her life that she wants to leave in the past and worry about her future BECAUSE NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO OR SAY EVERYONE CAN RISE ABOVE IT

Demi is my inspiration. I have been through a lot in the past year, my mum drinks and shouts and basically makes me feel like I'm worthless.I feel like i can't tell anyone because they will judge. This song has helped me through a lot.It feels horrible bottling it all up because Im scared to tell anyone.Cutting has been a thing I do everyday, and Demi helps me to do it less often and that's why she is my insparation.

This song is so clearly her coming clean! She is breaking away from the evil that Disney put into her and the Illuminati music industry.
She says the "skies are crying" and she is watching, "catching tear drops" in her hand.-
She sees that being part of the Illuminati is bad, God and the angels are crying.
"Only silence as its ending, like we never hand a chance" - performers are taken into the Illuminati and are forced to do what they want them to do. they have to be silent..they do not have a chance to speak.
"Do you have to make me feel like there's nothing left of me?"- Illuminati take all the person.
"You can take everything I have, you can break everything I am, like I'm made of glass, like I'm made of paper." - She is saying that the Illuminati took everything she had, and broke her down so easily.
"I will be rising from the ground, like a skyscraper." - she is telling them, I'm done with your evil, and i will rise above you.
"As the smoke clears, I awaken and untangle you from me." -after the fight, she sees the truth and untangles the evil from herself.
"All my windows still are broken but I'm standing on my feet."- She is not yet fixed completely but she is still standing on her feet.
"Go run run run yeah it's a long way down, but I'm closer to the clouds up here." - it is a long way down to Hell, and she is closer to the clouds up in Heaven now that she is on the Good side.
This is such a beautiful song, and it can be taken many ways, but I truly believe that it is her way of breaking free from the Illuminati, just like all the other artists who saw the light. -
This song is about Demi's life. She has been through so much but she rose up through it and we all should admire her for it!

Since Demi says she didn't write the song you have to go with the writer's perspective on this, I think. It's a little shallow to just go with all the Jonas Brothers stuff without acknowledging the writer. The the symbolism and imagery created in this song are a parallel to 9/11, and there's no denying it. It's definitely not vague symbolism, and the coincidence (or maybe not) of a September 2011 release date happens to be the 10th anniversary of the tragedy. The kids that listen to her are just too young to remember much or connect the song to the event. It just has a double meaning and goes along with Demi's personal struggles too, which I look up to her for being stron about. I just thought I'd give the writer some credit though, because it's beautifully written.

This isn't just a single or a song to me. This represents the straight of an incredibly difficult journey I've been on that will hopefully provide the faith and inspiration, to others going through the hardest issues of their own.

To me the song Skyscaper means that she is rising above the pain of her heart breaking. It shows that she is vulnerable but has the strength to get back up and go above and beyond her emotions knowing that its time to let go. It shows her perspective of being hurt and her hard journey to detach herself from the one that hurt her. That's what I thnk this song means.

Me personally, I love Demi and i think that Skyscraper means that Demi is going to rise above all the hate and teasing. I think that Demi is a very strong talented young woman and she has something going for herself.By the way Demi i hope your are reading this because I just want you to know that you are beatiful the way you are.
You shouldn't care what other people say about you weight because you are NOT FAT and even though you may have an eating disorder God gave you that for a reason. That reason is because he want's you to realize that you are beautiful weither or not you are fat, tall, skinny, short, it doesn't matter because that is who you are. -
DEMI IS WAYYYYY AGAINST BULLYING!!! :) This song is about her rising up against all the things that have been said to/about her, and getting the message across to kids to STAND UP AGAINST BULLYING!!! <3
