I watched him forget how to breathe when he was in 8th grade after he took 2 hits of marvin the martian LSD. He lived 5 houses down the street. but basically.. You guys are fucking retarded.
Ronnie never had a mom. Doesnt wanna see his brother get on drugs like HIM. Ronnie was heavily addicted to OXY's and Heroin before he got put in prison over some bullshit fight he arranged. VEGAS IS THE HARDEST FUCKING PLACE TO GROW UP AND BE UNAFFECTED MENTALLY. In the song he commends his father for working his ass off to support him and his brother in a single parent home. mean income here is 33,000 dollars. which is basically nothing (yes the value of money is also a bad thing about growing up here). Ronnie is a TOUGH ASS mother fucker. But he is more stubborn then Wiley Coyote, and just about as dumb. -

The chorus is about his mom again, and how she didn't make Ronnie and his brothers into the people they are today.

The final bit is Ronnie thanking his dad for being there for him.

This is a bit obvious, and its how he grew, motherless. Its a pretty lonely feeling. I'd say when the part where he said 'I took a piece of you the day I left the womb' he means he has a piece of her in his heart. 'You took a piece of me the day you went away' a piece of him left with her.

Its about Ronnie's mom. He's basically saying, thanks for walking out on your kids, oh ans btw i'm fine without. He's also thanking his dad for bringing him up and doing a good job.

Guys I live in Vegas and I know Ronnie's cousin and I've met there family. This song isn't about ronnie's mom. It's about max's.

in the chourus he is telling his mother not to worry about him that hes fine!and hes telling her to remember till the day that she dies to that she left her two sons. what it has to do with the dad is that he did a good job on raising his 2 children!

I'm from Boston, born and raised. It's a hard life and this song has real meaning to me. Its that Ronnie's mother (my father) left when he was young. He doesn't remember her accept that he had one. When he talks about his brother (same with mine) putting down the needle (razor) he's telling his brother that no matter how much it hurts and you think that it will make it better and the pain will go away, stop. The drugs (cutting) don't make the pain go away. They make it worse. I told my brother, once, to stop and put the knife down when I got home from school. Its hard to watch someone you love suffer so much. Last, when he talks about his father (my mother) working so hard too support him and his brother he's saying thank you. Even though he's saying thank you, its bitter sweet. For me, my brother ended up raising me because my mother was always working. So yeah. That is my interpretation.

I totally agree I'm 13 and I was born and raised in Vegas still in this dump too ha ha but I believe never having a mother has to do with the first part second part he is telling his brother "put the needle down" in other words don't do drugs don't be like me. The third part is to his father I think it has to do a lot with him loving his father because that was his only parent and he loves his father but also the chorus is actually very confusing I think the chorus goes to his mother or maybe his father didn't raise his sons that great or maybe he was never around so I think the chorus could have something to do with both of his parents.
