bones was explained by dan reynolds as an song that was very unique. he explained that it was a song about "what it would feel like to live immortaly". thus the line in his song "i will live a hundred million lives." then again for the rest of the song its almost like he is taunting death. this goes into detail when in the pre-chorus he sings "my patience is waning, is this entertaining, our patience is waning is this entertaing?" he even says "playing with a stick of dynamite", showing that even us as humans take risks at death. overall it has 2 meanings
1) death cannot conquer me
2) death will one day for anyone be the end of us
