    I don't get it... If someone can't figure out what a Justin Bieber song is about, they must be poetically retarded. His lyrics are so obvious and inpoetical, that even 9 year old girls can figure them out. That explains his fan base.

    What Justin is trying to say is that he knows that your old boyfriend isn't nice to you.
    He doesn't treat you right, doesn't help you through things, try to get to know you.
    And Justin is trying to say that he could be the best.
    He wouldn't treat you right, be nice, help you out, become your best friend and your best boyfriend.

    He's kind of saying that with your boyfriend at the moment you're lonely, and
    if you were to get with him, that would change.
