Breakaway Lyrics

Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if i'd end up happy
I would pray (i would pray)

Trying hard to teach out
But when i tried to speak out
Felt like no...

This is a fairly simple song to interpret, but everyone has their own personal interpretations.

Kelly, as a small girl, dreams of a bright future. She wants to pave a path for herself to success: "I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly". She won't give up, no matter what, to reach that goal: "I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky." But no matter where she is, she won't forget those who helped her become who she is.
Then song also states that sometimes in life, you have to risk what you have to gain, and that change is constantly happening. One door opens when another closes. You have to move on : "swinging round revolving doors. Maybe I don't know where they'll take me but, gotta keep moving on."

I think that this song is about finding a new life and not looking back. if your looking 4 a poem like this, search "Don't Give Up" by Ibrahim Moltoni. It is very inspirational. p.s. my dad died of cancer last month...so back off haters!

He committed suicide since she was in the darkness (life) and now in the sun (heaven) and she also said she wanted to touch the sky. She said she wouldn't for get the once that she loved, and also she spreaded her wings (she became angel)

My interpretation is that this is a flashback song to when she was a little kid and was an outcast. She felt like she wanted to breakaway and meet new friends. But it was tough for her "trying hard to reach out. But when I tried to speak out, felt like no one could hear me. Wanted to belong here, but something felt so wrong here, so prayed, I could breakaway...she also wants to live a happy social life "I wanna feel the warm breeze, sleep under a plan tree, feel the rush of the ocean. Take a trip on a jet plane, get onboard a fast train. So I prayed, I could breakaway...outcasts have a lot of potential and look gar fast Kelly's come ;)

I think it is about a person feeling alone depressed and sad and dreams of that perfect life everyone wants and feels like there is some where out there that is calling that person and the person final leaves all of the bad things in life and final finds where that person belongs and is happy in.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

Kelly felt lonely and left out in her small hometown. She wanted to break away from that life and step into the limelight, but she still promises she won't forget her family.
