This song is about drinking and/or spoking marijuana, particularly at the end of the work week. Your old lady may not like it, however, so Chesney advises the listener to leave the Crown or Goose in your truck or sneak it in in your boot. That advice segues nicely into another Chesney hit "That's why I'm here" in which you learn a few years later that your wife isnot as dumb as you think and thatshe left you and took the kids while you try to sober up at AA meetings. I wonder if he's considered singing these songs back to back in concert.
