In the Absence of the Sacred Lyrics

Violence a natural reaction in a society whose advances are limited to its new technology;
different only in the current mode of destructive intent.
Date has replaced real life in this world, no hope for the stop of "progress."

    A soul searching song by the ''LAMB OF GOD'' about the direction of our sometimes, luciferian lunatic advanced technologies that's in our culture and society where it has been affecting some of us to become less EMPATHETIC and more Apathetic Human beings with one another. So, in anotherwords the more we've been misled by somebody elses Inventions to take away ''the Sacred'' aspect of the life of God in us that gave us wisdom with a true meaning to know our feelings. Then, to only replace it with soulless things, the more destructive we became, either trying to get back what we lost, if we have any wisdom left to know OR nihillate The Other[s] as a meaningless Thing[s] that we became, with a lost soul for direction.

    Surprise surprise, a song by randy et al. Which depicts a disillusioned view of society mixed with a fictional element. This song talks about the death of human emotion in society, connecting it specifically to our relationship with and reliance upon technology: "violence a natural reaction in a society whose advances are limited to its new technology". It presents this point through the depiction of a hypothetical dystopic sci-fi society: "inevitable bio-link implant will replace the feel of human touch. All memory surrogates downloaded bought & sold, no true sense of self."
    and of course, this is connected to our own society: "a number, this is what you've become. Life digitized itemized commodified. Ha, ha, ha, this is what you work for..."
