This is my new favorite song bcuz it reminds me that, no matter how many times I fail, misjudge, fall short, relapse, let the devil tempt me into staying home on the Sabbath, or give up trying to better my life in general He is there, patiently waiting for me to return to His open, loving arms and His forgiving and merciful heart. And as a recovering addict it means even more bcuz "tough love" doesn't work. LOVE is the only thing that heals the wounds that drive us to seek unhealthy coping mechanisms. We can only recover through love, connection and understanding. He will never give up on us and He is always there to hold on to us until we are ready to stop giving up on ourselves.
