Personal Jesus Lyrics

Reach out and touch faith

Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who cares
Your own personal Jesus
Someone to hear your prayers
Someone who's there

Feeling unknown
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone

This wasn't written by johnny cash. Wikipe. Can be updated by anyone, anything can be said. The fact that you believe it makes me laugh. Depeche mode was the original writer. Johnny cash resang it. Then it was redone by m.M. Some people don't like this song though because some think m.M. Is just mocking the song.

Umm, actually, Johnny Cash didn't write it. Depeche Mode did, Johnny Cash covered it in 2002....Manson covered it in 2004

"LMAO" Johnny Cash did write this, asshole. Before you try to act like a cocky know-it-all, check your facts.

Oh yea, by the why, by performing this song, Marilyn Manson is turning it around, and saying that christianity is just a form of comfort, and a way to fit in. "Felling unkown when you're all alone...lift up the reciever, I'll make you a believer.

The only problem is that the song was written by Johnny Cash and redone by Depeche Mode before Marylin Manson made his version and Johnny Cash and Depeche Mode definitely didn't have that in mind at all and the lyrics are not altered at all down to the last word from the original by Johnny Cash. My point is that you have no idea what the hell your talking about.-Pyccejiji B. Aphojid

Right, my opinion on this song is that is is all about politics, And that the government weare supposed to confide in are actually the people causing the wars. The phrase Flesh and bone by the telephone meaning the Red phone the president has on his desk, it is the phone that is used when war is declared is ordered, and obviously the flesh and the bone is the blood of the people spilt due to that call.
